South of Santiago, Chile, we found an abandoned 1973 Pontiac GTO. Lost in a barn for over 20 years, it is no surprise to see how it looks today. Its only future is the junkyard. For sure, it will be reborn as a teapot, but we will loose it forever. It has no visible VIN number and the roof was removed to “make” it convertible.

After a swift negotiation, the owner agreed to sell the wreckage for a reasonable amount. the debris was loaded in a truck and moved to the mechanical operations center. There, it will be stripped of any valuable component. We forecast that the 455 engine will be definitively brought back to life.
